In preparing this brunch, you will have the opportunity to use and taste a variety of middle eastern spices, ingredients and dishes served in the mezza style. In class, you will learn to make Hazelnut Dukkah, Za’taar spice blends, use Ifra chili, and Sumac. We will prepare hummus from scratch, make a berry platter using labneh (a strained yogurt cheese), prepare a quick pickled cucumber salad and make the popular breakfast dish - Shakshuka (egg dish cooking in tomatoes, peppers and onions seasoned with coriander, cumin and paprika). For dessert enjoy an orange poppy seed cake.
