Frangipane Brioche with Almonds & Raspberries

Thick slices of brioche are dipped in almond syrup then drained (so they won't be soggy). The top is coated with a layer of frangipane (a flavored filling made with almonds) and sliced almonds. The slices are baked until the almonds brown. The brioche, now crunchy with the crystallized syrup, is topped with powdered sugar and berries. This is without a doubt my favorite dessert on the menu!
