Especially for Kids:
Private Events for Kids and Families
Are you looking for a fun and educational activity for kids, or for parents and kids together? Is a birthday party on the horizon? Does your scout troop or kids club need a learning activity, maybe in support of a merit badge? Learning to cook delicious food is a rewarding and fun experience that will benefit kids over their lifetimes!
Each class features a unique menu created by Chef Linda, featuring streamlined recipes that are perfect for junior chefs. Attendees will prepare several dishes and then eat them afterward (for baking classes, students will take the baked goods home with them). Snacks will be provided in all classes.
Each class is 3 hours in length, including the meal. You'll receive recipes and tips, so you and your children can recreate the dishes at home.
In Family classes, parents and children will enroll and cook together. In most Kids classes, the kids will work without parental supervision; however, for larger events, the event organizer is welcome to stay and help supervise.
HOW TO BOOK AN EVENT
Note on Group Size: Class menus are based on an enrollment of at least 4 students. It may be necessary to adjust the menu or the price for a smaller group. The Kitchen can accommodate up to 12 people.
STEP 1: Choose Your Event Date. Select a date Monday through Saturday at least 10 days from now that is not already booked. You'll be asked to provide the date you've selected at checkout. Note: If you are considering an event more than 60 days from now, please call us before scheduling. We update classes periodically to reflect seasonal availability of ingredients.
STEP 2: Choose a Class. Scroll down to the images below to see the classes we offer currently. Click on the picture or the name of the class to see more information and to purchase. Enter the number of people in your group in the "Quantity" field and then click on "Add to Cart" (for items with multiple options, everyone should be enrolled in the same option). If you want to choose another class, use the back key on your browser to return to this page. (If you need to change the number of attendees or delete a class, you will be able to do that on the checkout page, accessed by clicking on the shopping cart in the upper right portion of your screen.
Not ready to finalize, but want to reserve a date? See "Reserve My Date" at the bottom of this page.
STEP 3: General Information Page. Please review the General Information page prior to class and complete the Information and Liability Release form. Ask your guests (or their parents) to do the same.
STEP 4: Checkout. Click on the shopping cart in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Please review the class(es) and enrollment numbers for accuracy. You can change the quantities and delete items right on this page. If you would like to add an item, return to this page by selecting "What We Do" and "Especially for Kids" from the Main Menu at the top of the page. Once you have finished, click on "Checkout" at the bottom of the shopping cart screen. The checkout process is similar to other online shopping, but we will ask for additional information (date of event, time, etc.) in step 2 of the checkout. If you have any questions, we are here to help!
All classes are available as Kids Classes and as Family Classes (a single family or a group of parents and their kids).
