So delicious and easy. In this class, you will learn to make two seasonal dessert pies - one with fruit and one with a set filling such as custard, fruit curd, panna cotta. The exact fruit and flavors will depend on market availability, freshness and ripeness. Whenever possible, fruit will be sourced from local farms and farmer’s markets.

You will make a pie crust by hand, roll out the bottom crust and prepare a decorative crust for the top. For this pie, you will use a filling that is cooked in the oven along with the crust.

For the second pie, the crust will be blind baked, the filling cooked separately on the stove top. The pie will be finished with a decorative topping.

You will learn to troubleshoot common pie difficulties and will have a chance to work with decorative techniques, such as working with colored doughs, embossed rolling pins and baked cutouts.

Taste sample pies and take home the 2 pies you make to share with family and friends.

This is a Hands-on class. Class is approximately 3 hours.
