The first time I had Raclette was traveling in Zermatt with a backpack before returning to finish my senior year in college. It was a magical evening when one of our group found a place where we could huddle around a fire to try the Raclette. Raclette later became a our traditional Christmas Eve family meal.
Tonight we enjoy the simple boiled potatoes with melted Raclette cheese. However, we break with tradition to include a soup, salad, an array of vegetables and meats with condiments, pickles and dessert.
Menu: Bündner Gerstensuppe- Swiss Vegetable Barley Soup; Classic Green Salad with Tarragon Vinaigrette; Raclette and other Melting Cheeses; Vegetables and Grilling Sauces; Cured Meats; Steak with "Before and After" Marinade; Quick Pickles; Dessert Crepes
